RT. HON. YUSUF BABAYO GAGDI Ph.D., OON, the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly from Plateau State and two-term House Committee Chairman on NAVY of the 9th and 10th House of Representatives, bagged a PEACE ADVOCACY AWARD from SENSE CONNECT AFRICA, a very sensitive organization with a reasonable interest in measuring performance index of public office holders for recognition.
Hon Gagdi who could not attend the award presentation ceremony in person due to his tight schedule, was ably represented by Comrade Vilret Enoch, one of his inalienable allies. Comrade Enoch, who received the award on behalf of Hon. Gagdi, eulogised the inspirational focus of the writers of the book and appreciated the incredible literalness of their work in the real sense of the word. Vilret affirmed Gagdi’s in-depth emotional association with the title of the book “KNOWN GUNMEN” authored by the Team Leader of CREATIVE LEAD Organization, Mr Manj Difur.
Mr Manji Difur had, in his remarks, said the contributions of Honourable Gagdi towards peace building in Plateau State for harmonious co-existence irrespective of lineage, tribes, religion, or political affiliations, and his human capital development policy and execution, which had fundamentally empowered the most impoverished youths on the Plateau and beyond, were the hallmarks of representative governance and the yardsticks for measuring performance index upon which the legislator was recommended and endorsed for the prestigious award.
